These rules apply to both challengers and gym leaders unless stated otherwise.
All gym battles follow the 6v6 Gen 9 National Dex OU format (based on Smogon rules).
All Pokémon are automatically set to level 100 and fully healed before the battle begins.

In dual-type gyms, there must be at least 3 Pokémon of each type.
Mega Evolutions are allowed only if:
The Pokémon does not lose the gym’s type upon Mega Evolving.
Example: Mega Altaria may not be used for a Flying-type gym.
The Pokémon gains the gym’s type upon Mega Evolution, and is Mega Evolved immediately when sent into battle.
Example: Mega Ampharos for a Dragon-type gym is allowed if it Mega Evolves immediately.
